Happy Customers

“Dr Anna is the BEST (and Michael for eyeglasses is also great). Dr Anna has taken excellent care of our 91 yr old mom for 5+ years. My mother’s world has been vastly improved by the care of Dr Anna; Mom can now hear so well that we can whisper and Mom can understand us. We consider Dr Anna a partner in our mother’s well-being. Lucky to have Dr Anna’s talent and caring right here in Brunswick, Maine. To hear and be able to participate fully in the world is a gift, and we thank Dr Anna for her skill and caring manner in treating our mom.”

NJ Hynes

“I recently had the opportunity to visit this lovely business to purchase new glasses. Michael is wonderful and incredibly helpful. He made my experience pleasant and fun!! I will definitely recommend this place of business and be returning for future optical needs.”

Jodi Philippon

“My husband and I have been customers of Berrie’s Hearing and Optical Center for quite a few years and cannot say enough great things about the friendly and professional services provided by Anna and Michael.. Anna is a well qualified audiologist – warm, friendly and welcoming – and is always available to adjust our hearing aids if need be. Michael is a warm and witty man with exceptional taste in eyewear – not to mention the patience of a saint. The selection of eyewear is exceptional – never run-of-the-mill styles! Outstanding service!!”

Wilma Lloyd

“From the moment I walked into Berrie’s and met Michael Cartwright I knew I was in good hands. Michael’s attention to his customers and detail, as well as the fabulous collection of frames at reasonable prices has made this my go to place for glasses. I recommend this business to everyone.”

Robin Schmidt

“Being new to the area I had been referred by a friend to visit Berries for my new glasses. The selection was incredible but what made stand out was Michael and Anna. Michael is very knowledgeable and incredibly honest since I can never make my mind up. That day Anna and her mom were there and they even helped me pick my perfect pair of frames. Very professional with a warmth that makes you feel so comfortable to be there. I highly recommend Berries.”

Deborah Hellman

“Berries, Dr Anna and Michael are fantastic. I am over-the-moon happy with my ReSound hearing aids. The atmosphere at Berries is totally family-style. I ask dumb questions, one after the other, and Anna had not once made me feel like the ignoramus that I know I am. Bonus: they’re right in town just a couple of doors from both a nice deli and Gelato Fiasco.”

We’ve got a new look!

Our building has recently finished a major exterior renovation, so please be sure to look for our new grey siding and new signage!  The red cedar siding and hip roof have been replaced with grey clapboard and a glass front.  Also, the big black wrought iron eyeglasses have been retired, replaced with new signage and the new Berries’ logo.  We hope you love the new look as much as we do, and you can be certain that we still offer the same old-time, personal service we have for over 80 years!
